Alpha Beta Kappa Ceremony Held

 The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) held the induction ceremony of its Alpha Beta Kappa (ABK) National Honor Society students Friday the 24th of October, 2008 7:00pm, at the Fort Collins Hilton. 

 

Membership in ABK is based on the following criteria:

Leadership and service in class & school activities, Personal integrity, Good moral character, and a  3.75 cumulative GPA - upon completing 40 credits. Upon graduating these students will wear a red sash of distinction denoting their ABK membership.

 

At the ceremony Rich Laub, IBMC CEO, will welcome and congratulate the students. Steve Steele, President of IBMC will speak on ABK and what it means. The Associate Dean of Education, Eric Thompson will present the Honorees. The ABK Certificates and Honor Keyes will be presented by Donna Channel, instructor at the Cheyenne campus.  The presentation of ABK flowers and sashes will be made by Jack Oleson, an instructor at the Greeley campus and Kathy Carr an instructor at the Fort Collins Campus. Student Guest Speakers will be: Harry E. �Gene� Campbell, Lioudmila Townsend and Becky LaBrie.

Alpha Beta Kappa is the only Honor Society in America that represents degree granting institutions, junior colleges, senior colleges, and student- centered private career schools. Membership demonstrates that the institution is committed to students. More importantly, membership will bring honor and earned recognition to those   individuals who have worked so diligently to learn a marketable skill. Outstanding Graduates can list the distinction of membership in Alpha Beta Kappa on all future resumes when pursuing employment.
