In Celebration of National Law Day May 1st, a Mock Trial was presented by IBMC Paralegal Instructors and Students for the 3rd grade class at O’Dea Elementary School.
Twelve students were chosen as Jury members while the remainder of the class listened as the “courtroom audience”.
The Jury was given the facts and told to make a decision in favor of Humpty Dumpty or Sherma King. The Jury voted in favor of Humpty Dumpty, who then won the case.
After the trial Judge Jennings opened the floor for Questions and Answers. Most of the students had numerous questions which were answered by both Rick Jennings (Instructor) and Tonya Morse (Paralegal Program Director) who as attorneys are teaching paralegal courses at IBMC.
