IBMC is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor for its Cheyenne Campus. The position is responsible for packaging students and facilitating all financial arrangements for students, both in-school and out of school. Candidate will conduct prescreens and appointments with newly enrolled students. Input financial aid packages into CampusVue for new students. Perform verification and complete forms for students with TANFF, in-school deferments, etc. Audit files of new starts; originate aid after the start; certify loans within CampusVue. Communicate verbally with prospective and active students regarding their respective packages and concerns. Repackage students who are required to retake classes, students changing programs, students upgrading/downgrading, and re-entries. Certify VA students on-line, print ISIRS, and perform PLUS prescreens and approvals. Gather, research, and make scholarship information available to students so that they can research scholarships. Assist with clerical duties such as filing, maintaining policies and procedure notebooks. Keep current with Federal and Accrediting Agency regulations through attending seminars. Other duties as assigned within the Student Financial Services Office. Requirements: Demonstrate commitment and ability to work with individuals or groups with diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills. Ability to set, monitor, drive and meet goals. Ability to multi-task and drive initiatives at a branch campus level to support students. Strong organizational skills. Ability to follow through on tasks and projects meeting deadlines.
