As a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, you'll stand at the crossroads of healthcare and technology and make an important contribution to the delivery of quality care. As a medical coder, you'll be responsible for assigning universally recognized codes to diagnoses and procedures. You'll work with health-related information and the systems used to collect and process codes to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies and government agencies.
Program Highlights & Objectives
The objective of the Medical Billing and Coding Degree Program is to provide you with the skills and knowledge that will enable you to qualify for entry-level positions as a medical billing and coding professional. Since you'll be trained in depth with CPT, ICD-9, Insurance, Reimbursements and Physician Chart Auditing, you'll be capable of a wide variety of entry-level positions.
